This weekend we are going down to Boston for the Bruins game. If you were not aware I bought my girlfriend front row tickets to a Bruins game as that is her favorite team and sport. We will be right on the glass watching the players bleed.

I decided to look into hotel reservations and found the website HotelReservations.com it seemed fairly straight forward to use. I put in that I was going to have 2 Adults and the room rates that were returned were unbelievably cheap. I decided to check the rates with 2 Adults and 2 Children. We have taken several trips to Boston and usually stay at Wyndham Boston. The typical price I am used to paying for a room at Wyndham Boston was about $240 per night.

However at HotelReservations.com I am able to book a room for $78.57 which is remarkably cheap, especially for the weekend. I was just amazed at how they could give such a cheap rate. It makes me wish we were going to that section of Boston, I would reserve the room and try out this new site.

I just checked with Hotels.com and they guarantee that they are the cheapest on the net, however even they wanted $82.45 per night so it looks like they are not the cheapest after all. I have book-marked this site and will definitely give them a shot the next time I am going somewhere. I would do it this time if I was positive we would be staying over night.

This website also does searching for flights and car rentals. Locally here they advertise that you can fly from Rutland to Boston for $99 each way, however when I searched the site the only flight they had was for $213 which is only $15 more than $99 each way. I guess that is the price you pay for booking the flight on-line.

I just made my first reservation with this company and the transaction went smooth. I guess the part I liked the most is that you don’t have to fill out 3 forms to register as a member before you make a reservation. There are a few flaws on the site in FireFox anyway. When you are choosing your check-in and check-out dates the drop down boxes are only wide enough to show one number, so if you choose the 10th to the 11th it looks like you choose 1st to 1st. This was a last-minute reservation so we will see how things go when i present the reservation at the front desk. I am assuming it is instant and it will be reserved for me for tonight.

I should also note that the last-minute reservation saved me a few more bucks. I got the room for $76.50 instead of the $78.57 that was returned a few days ago.

Everything went fine with this reservation and I had a great time in Boston.
