Sub-Domain Pointing to my Home Computer
For many years I have always wondered just how difficult it would be to make a sub-domain point to my home computer. I never really took the time to look into it because my web host Lunarpages does not offer this ability through CPanel. However recently I changed domain registrars from GoDaddy to NameCheap due to the SOPA controversy started by GoDaddy publicly supporting SOPA. Since I switched to NameCheap I noticed that they offer free dns services. I started to look into this today and found that it works exactly as I thought and will allow you to customize your DNS to your liking.

Time Between Posts
I want to start out by apologizing that I have not been posting that frequently and not really posting any content with meat. Things will be changing soon and I will be updating this site more and more frequently. I plan to continue writing about PHP but I also might start looking at Python and writing about that too.

Free WordPress Development Environment
Over the years I have been running this site and never even really had to think about WordPress or a development environment. Lately I have been looking at plugin development and nothing I have been reading has even once mentioned a sandbox or development environment.

CampusLIVE Hack-A-Thon
Over the last few weeks there has been quite a bit of new development being done on the
CampusLIVE!site and Jared thought it would be a good idea to give developers a break from the every-day coding. He decided that today we would take a 3 hour block of time from 9am – 12pm and see what we could brainstorm with a new technology he found. We plan to do this about every 2 weeks so things will be getting very interesting atCampusLIVE! -
Fuelly Library (0.2-alpha)
I have been using Fuelly.com for a while now to track my gas mileage on my motorcycle. Every-time I fill-up my tank I send an SMS to Fuelly with the odometer reading, the price per gallon and how many gallons I put into the bike.

Motorcycle Buying Process
You may or may not have read that my motorcycle was stolen on July 7th. but it was and this entry will be all about the experience I had while shopping for a new motorcycle. When my 2008 CBR 600RR was stolen I was more heartbroken than angry, don’t get me wrong I was pissed but it hurt more. I filed the police report, contacted my insurance company (Progressive) and started the claims process. Two weeks later I had a check in my hand from Progressive to go out and get a new bike.

A New Bike
Last year I bought my first motorcycle to learn how to ride with. It’s been an amazing bike and learning to ride has been a great experience. I love the wind in your face, all of the smells you are open to and just the overall freedom of riding. Sure some of the fun of riding has to do with pumping adrenaline but the vast majority of riding is everything else.

Automatic Photo Transfer
As many of you know I have recently gotten interested in photography. Being the technophobe that I am I had to figure out a way to integrate technology with my digital photography hobby. I was originally looking for a way to preview my shots on the iPad while in the field.
